The
World Trib reports that Iranian rocket engineers attended the latest round of launches of Taepodong missiles in North Korea. The news agency said the Iranians have been examining North Korea's missile technology, which was originally developed in China, for Iranian adaptation and new development of long range missiles for Iran's arsenal. There is some speculation that the two countries could be forging an alliance to develop better propellant technology. It is also believed that Iran is funding the North Korean missile program. In December 2005, Iran took possession of several rockets from North Korea.
According to the State Department, the Chinese missile technology, that is now in the hands of the North Koreans, and by extension the Iranians, was developed and refined with the assistance of experts from US firms Loral and Hughes during the Clinton administration. This assistance included targeting and propellant technology. Iran has been funneling arms and missiles to the Palestinians and Syria.
Some questions that must be asked:
1) In return for the monetary assistance provided by Iran, did North Korea provide Iran with nuclear technology and possibly one or more completed nuclear weapons?
2) Could the reason the Iranians wanted to delay their response to the EU and US be related to the latest launches by North Korea of their Taepodong missiles AND the incursions by Hamas and Hizbollah?
3) Did the Iranians know that all of these events were planned or are they coordinating these events?
The Palestinians are smugly confident regarding their bold moves against Israel. This implies that Syria and Iran are instigating this action. Arafat was never overtly inflammatory in this way. Terrorists, by nature, surround themselves with human shields, have others do their bidding, and slink off when the s*** hits the fan. Hamas and Hizbollah don't appear to be following this model. This begs the question of why.
